I have been making ceramics for over 25 years now, and I am passionate about creating free-form, sculptural pieces and wearable art ceramics.
I hand-built my ceramics from stoneware and porcelain clays. I have a penchant for varied and dynamic styles and often add found objects to my pieces.
I find it deeply satisfying working with clay because it's supple, it accepts mark making and it is easily shaped.
I am inspired by everything around me, but I am mostly drawn to the beauty in eroded, time honoured surfaces, and shapes that endured their journey through time, and marked by the experiences they been through!
My work is diverse: painting, designing and making objects of art using mixed media but clay has always had that special place for me.
